When we started,
all we had was a vision…
a cardboard cutout,
a spray can,
a stencil…
and a heart full of purpose.

Some things weren’t clear.

I hated art…
Not because I didn’t believe in it —
but because I couldn’t believe in me.

Every stroke reminded me of what I’d lost.
What I wasn’t.
What I thought I’d never become.

I’d walk past paintbrushes like they were weapons,
afraid they’d expose just how broken I really was.

When your self-worth is shattered,
even beauty can feel like a threat.

But I prayed.
Not a fancy prayer. Just… “Help.”

And God met me —

In chaos.
In a broken canvas.

I started seeing Him in my story…
